CONSTIN GmbH, Company & Philosophy
Constin GmbH is a development service provider and manufacturer of products for which good design is an important success factor.
From the initial idea sketch to series production, our company supports our customers with all the services required to successfully realize innovations, such as design, engineering, prototyping and ultimately also the production of the parts.
Our cross-industry expertise, which has grown over 30 years, predestines us to develop solutions that cannot be recognized from an industry-specific perspective. These solutions often result in inventions, patents or other industrial property rights.
Innovation consulting in our interdisciplinary team is just as much a part of our range of services as the manufacture of molds, tools and other production equipment for efficient production.
For us, good design is not limited to the design of the appearance, but reflects the complex spectrum of interests in which the respective product has to assert itself on the market. The respective design line is adapted to the specific market requirements.
In addition to implementing customer innovations, we also work on our own innovative products. One focus here is on the development, production and national and international distribution of lightweight electric vehicles that are powered by standardized battery modules, so-called xPack batteries.
The intelligent xPack battery modules are also used in various xPack devices and xPack storage systems for storing renewable energy in the smart grid.
The lightweight electric vehicles are specially designed for intermodal transportation in the city. The vehicle range includes pedelecs, e-bikes, kickTrikes, e-scooters, e-cabin scooters and smart-sized cars for transporting people and loads.
Constin GmbH will cooperate in particular in the development of the use of lightweight electric vehicles and battery module storage for Mobility 2Grid as part of the planned electric mobility workshop.

History of the GreenPack investment
GreenPack GmbH (hereinafter referred to as “GreenPack” or the “company”) was founded in 2011 as Minimove GmbH. The shareholders were Hans-Peter Constien (60%), managing partner of Constin GmbH and initiator of Minimove GmbH, and two co-shareholders (20% each).
This was preceded by the invention and development of the first prototypes of the kickTrike, an electric folding scooter for transporting small loads, at Constin GmbH.
The aim of Minimove GmbH was to develop and sell electric light vehicles (hereinafter referred to as “LEVs”) in addition to the kickTrike.
To launch its business activities, Minimove GmbH acquired trademarks and designs as well as patent applications from Constin GmbH, which had already been developed in connection with the KickTrike before Minimove GmbH was founded.
In the course of the further development of the KickTrike by Minimove GmH, it became apparent that there was a lack of powerful batteries that would be able to power such a vehicle. It turned out that the development and marketing requirements for a KickTrike differed significantly from the requirements for the development and marketing of rechargeable batteries.
Mr. Constin recognized that a standard battery for applications such as the kickTrike was missing on the market.
As the co-shareholders did not want to participate in the development of a standard battery, the shareholders agreed that Constin GmbH would carry out this development at its own expense. Minimove GmbH was renamed GreenPack GmbH in October 2013.
As the sale of the KickTrike was delayed, Constin GmbH acquired the shares of the co-shareholders at the beginning of 2015
With this step, Hans-Peter Constien held 60% and Constin GmbH 40% of the shares in GreenPack.
GreenPack relocated to Bennigsenstraße 14 in Berlin, on the premises of Constin GmbH, in order to be able to drive forward developments in close cooperation with Constin GmbH.
In June 2015, KickTrike GmbH was founded as a pure sales company.
All development work on the KickTrike and the GreenPack was carried out at Constin GmbH.
GreenPack gained a new investor at the end of 2015 to drive forward further development.
All rights and development services that Constin GmbH had previously provided with regard to rechargeable batteries were sold to GreenPack in October 2015. The shareholders of GreenPack determined the projects to be developed further, with Constin GmbH continuing to carry out the developments for GreenPack.
